Due to the cancer diagnosis of SCHANDMAUL singer Thomas Lindner, the Folkfield Festival had to be postponed by a year, to 2024. After several gruelling surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, Thomas Lindner is finally returning to his band. His determination and enthusiasm are strong, and the band is incredibly excited to have their captain back on board. Welcome back, Thomas!
However, the treatment has left its mark, and as much as the band is looking forward to having Thomas back on stage, vocally he will not be quite ready for this year. That’s why SCHANDMAUL has enlisted old friends for the 2024 dates to support Thomas vocally. Fans can look forward to Georgij Makazaria (formerly of RUSSKAJA) and Marco Klingel, who has been Thomas’ vocal coach for many years during music productions and has since become a close friend of the band. Georgij will support Thomas and the band at the Folkfield Festival, and there will be several more special guests.
