Feuerschwanz - “Fegefeuer Tour 2024” - Support: Orden Ogan & Dominum
Germany’s hottest band at the moment, FEUERSCHWANZ, released their new studio album ‘Fegefeuer’ on July 7th, 2023. The successor to the 2021 successful album ‘Memento Mori’ (#1 Official German Album Charts), is fully committed to Metal and is taking the band’s path away from the Fun Rock from days gone by. FEUERSCHWANZ, founded in 2004, have developed from their roots in Comedy Medieval Folk Rock into a serious band - but of course the familiar wink and fun factor should not be missing.
With the release of ‘Das Elfte Gebot’ (2020), FEUERSCHWANZ has fully committed itself to Metal and developed into one of the most important German bands in the genre. The enormously successful previous album ‘Memento Mori’ (2021) stormed directly to number 1 in the official German album charts. ‘Fegefeuer’ impresses with pure Heavy Metal hymns. Lyrical allusions to the legendary dragon slayer Siegfried are combined with hard riffing and Nordic mythology. But catchy celebration songs that invite you to a wild Viking party are also not neglected. Overall, ‘Fegefeuer’ is the best evidence of the band’s evolution from Comedy Rock to Metal. After a largely sold-out hall tour in 2023, the new album ‘Fegefeuer’ will hit the streets in spring 2024. And the name says it all - after all, the band has always been known for wild party nights and hot shows!
Or as FEUERSCHWANZ himself summarizes it: “The old Gods demand their tribute in the form of mead and feasting! To do justice to this, we have turned the speed up to the limit and are blowing towards the end of the world. Ragnarök can come!”
