It takes a lot of courage to completely relocate from Los Angeles to Berlin, but who knows EERIK PENNY, the workaholic with the talent for unique song writing knows that he already ‘lived’ in Berlin before he was even there. It’s just this “I’m here-and-exactly-in-the-right-place” feeling that he’s currently spreading live. His distinct mixture of Americana, Indie and singer/songwriter music has been featured in the past in many TV productions i.e. on MTV and Lifetime. Also Gus Black has immediately recognized his stand-out talent, took him with him on his Germany tour and produced a video for him on top.Currently Ben’s in his studio in Berlin working on new material with Simon Frontzeck of TOMTE. On the new album, slated for an autumn release besides Eric, Harvin (Air, The The, Tindersticks), Cello player Frederique Labbow (Die Happy) and Gabriel Gordon (Natalie Merchant, Roachford...) can be heard as guests and last but not least Mocky ((Feist, Jamie Lidell, Gonzales...) is involved in the production as well to add a special magic.
