“By A Thread - Live in London 2011” - DVD Premiere Screening at the Prince Charles Cinema Leicester Square, London
In last year’s November, DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT was playing four epic shows in London where four albums were presented in full. All shows were professionally recorded for a DVD release. On 18th June, the DVD will be released in Europe via HevyDevy Records/ InsideOut Music. The North American release is one day later.
To celebrate the release, there will be an official pre-release-screening event on 5th June at the Prince Charles Cinema in London where Devin will introduce and comment the DVD during 3-4 hours. And, first come, first server. There will be a limited amount of 250 tickets in pre-sale. Furthermore, visitors of the event have the chance to order the limited Box-set exclusively two weeks prior release and get it signed by Devin personally.
Speaking about the box set. Also this DVD-release will be available as special 4DVD/5CD box with breathtaking packaging. Each of the DVDs will contain one concert plus bonus material. The CDs will contain the live albums plus one CD will all encores.
Devin comments the release as follows: “Hey everyone, Devin here... just dropping in to let you know how excited I am to be able to announce the DVD screening of 'By A Thread', the four DTP shows we played in London last November. The amount of work and memory that went into that event has been captured by an even more herculean event by the folks making the DVD's, and finally I get to see what we did those nights! It's another situation of releasing a product that we think is really cool, and have gone the extra distance to make it worth your while if you're the type that supports by buying physical product...it's great! The Pre-Release event takes place on Thursday, 5th June 2012, from 18:30 to 23:00. Tickets can be bought directly at the cinema for 15 UK pounds: http://tiny.cc/DevinTownsend. Following this release event, there will be two acoustic solo shows on 6th and 7th June at London The Borderline club. Tickets can be bought via www.kililive.com. Crowning final of this event series will be Devin’s headlining show on 3rd stage of this year’s Download Festival on 8th June.
