There’s this new band from Germany called SPITCHILD and those guys have created their own little brand of music they’re calling “Power Poser Porn Piano” Now you might be wondering how that’s supposed to sound and if it isn’t just born of an incredible mind fuck. Well, it’s a little bit of a mindfuck in there but not the entire music is one. The music itself is the product of an open-minded four-piece that literally doesn’t give a simple fuck about any genre. The opening ‘Gang Bang Hotel Chain’ gives us a bit of synth, a bit of tango and a bit of 70s porn appeal and mingles it with a posing attitude to a stirring musical cocktail with a pinch of sarcasm. ‘Animal Game – Animal Pain’ goes up a little with the tempo, gives you an incredible piano showcase and otherwise is just a challenging piece of music with all its shifts and mutations. The next one ‘Got A dream’ is comparatively simple in that regard as it is a straight, propulsive tune to shake the necks to a lot.
Next up we’re being shown ‘The Future Of Entertainment’, introduced with a string of moody layer, piano and rather clean chanting by head of the troop el Friede. You’re easily getting fooled by the classical opening of ‘Nuggets of Gold’. Maybe it’s going to get a little symphony? No, definitely not! It’s becoming a swirling mix of piano, drums and synth for all you head bangers out there. On ‘Free Cage Society’ those guys are letting their inner freaks run wild…More than before, that is, doing Mickey Mouse before pimp vocals and inject quirky synth gimmicks while mirroring the state of today’s society. Closing it all up is the porn show theme that comes off like the ending theme of a movie. Just that a movie ending doesn’t make you feel like it’s been created by a bunch of mentals. No, seriously it’s really an odd ending to an odd album. You will have to be really open-minded for what’s awaiting you on ‘Sunday Morning Pornshow’, but with a little bit of getting used to you’ll surely come to love it.
