suedeE-Werk, Cologne, Germany
21st November 2013
Suede & Teleman

When SUEDE entered the stage on 24th March 2010 for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall, this was meant to be a unique benefit show. But already after half of the show, the Britpop icons were so excited by the experience finally making music together again that it was a fact for anyone that the story would continue from here on. This was now the crowning ending of the band history, it was the beginning of the future, yelling for continuation. Already in the same year, the band played an exclusive show at the Columbiahalle Berlin.

Now, after long and hard work, SUEDE release a new album last March. ‘Bloodsports’ entered British charts on position 10. Just as the mile stones ‘Suede’ (1993), ‘Dog Man Star (1994) and legendary ‘Coming Up’ (1996), the new album was produced by Ed Buller. And there is it back, the dark, glamorous, romantic and hedonist power SUEDE was always bearing, which made the London band to one of the biggest British bands in the early nineties, paragon for anything being called later Britpop, a band which was counterpart to this inelegant and depressive noise from Seattle called Grunge.

SUEDE in 2013 are still as trend-setting as 20 years ago. That’s the surprise and phenomenon of this band, making at still a blueprint for great British music. And whoever had seen Brett Anderson and his band live on stage knows that there is still something better to come. You will see i.e. at their show on November in Cologne, supported by special guests TELEMAN. Get your tickets now!
