Album Review

Jan L. is a real workaholic! While running two projects X-FUSION & NOISUF-X [btw: a palindrome ;)] he alternates the output of both… but the space between the releases is as short as one can imagine. Was the last release of X-FUSION in march, now NOISUF-X is hitting the clubs again… Although I’m more into X-FUSION, I must admit that all of the tracks should definitely do on the dance floors. Stamping and pumping beats, awesome samples [and somewhat rude…but isn’t that almost obligation?] are a guarantee for a lot of club hits and dance floor fillers. The only song that is quite interesting and even disturbing at the same time is: Future Ska. A song that is featuring a new Ska band of the UK: POPULATION. I really appreciate that Jan L. is such an open-minded guy, but this song is getting too far! It’s the attempt to combine genres that obviously should stay separated, f you ask me. I estimate this attempt from the bottom of my heart, but for me it doesn’t work. Nevertheless, all the other songs are killers, although they’re not offering a lot of new ideas. Therefore ‘Dead End District’ is a solid release with a lot of danceable songs… so, move your ass!
