Album Review

EPINEPHRIN is a side project of Pascal Beniesch, band member of the well-known industrial band X-RX, and focusses on lyrics, singing and a little softer tone of music. ‘Alles auf Anfang’ is the first album that came out within this project and shows that X-RX can do more than harsh sounds combined with samples. Despite of the fact that this album is mixed up professionally it seems that there some issues with the balance of clear singing and the music itself. Besides, the voice of Beniesch might be not the best for the part of clear singing. But he always comes back to the used sound and his scratchy voice. The music is nice, danceable and should definitely be played in clubs more often cause it is not just for the industrial dancers but also includes all others. There are a couple of songs in which he sings a bit too slow and too calm compared to the sound but this is a very nice and fresh contrast. In my opinion the refrains are repeated a bit too often but this emphasizes the message of the song and makes it to a really catchy song. And I think an earwig of EPINEPHRIN is quiet nice. We can be expectant what comes next in the history of this band. I guess that there will be a lot more of development and enjoyable music.
