Backstage, Munich, Germany
01st April 2009
Letzte Instanz, WETO

After release of her ninth album ‘Schuldig’ on 27th of February 2009, the Dresden based rock band LETZTE INSTANZ came also to Munich's Backstage on the 1st April 2009 in the course of their “Schuldig Tour”. Besides, as support, they had their friends of WETO with them.

WETO

WETO is a rock group from Fürstenfeldbruck, founded in 1993. It existed originally of two resolving school bands. After singer Thomas Lindner founded in 1998 the folk rock band SCHANDMAUL together with some other people, the tomes for WETO were not the best. Then in 2005, WETO reincarnated in one, according to the band "humid-happy evening", with partial new occupation. Their album ‘Das 2weite Ich’ appeared in 2006. http://www.wetomusic.de/

Music & Performance
Punctual, WETO occupied the already well filled Backstage hall. Thomas Lindner (voice; SCHANDMAUL), Stefan Brunner (drums; SCHANDMAUL), Matthias Richter (bass; SCHANDMAUL), Martin Duckstein (guitar; SCHANDMAUL) and Heiner Jasper (keyboard; REGICIDE) won the well tempered audience from the beginning with their cheerful and loose manner. Besides ‘Krank’ and ‘Schattenspieler’ they presented songs out off the last album ‘Das 2weite Ich’. After ten songs and a lot of applause they made room for LETZTE INSTANZ. The rebuilding break was a bit chaotic. For technical reasons, the band had no other chance than moving their equipment through the audience area what did not do any harm to the good mood anyway.

Letzte Instanz

1996 was the foundation year of the band LETZTE INSTANZ which arose again from the group RESISTANCE and took care in the beginning still under this name of a record contract. Then they changed their name to avoid mistakes. http://www.letzte-instanz.de/

Music & Performance
Then after the adventurous rebuilding break it was time and the LETZTE INSTANZ consisting of singer Holly, Holly D. (voice, acoustic guitar), Oli (electric guitar), M. Stolz (violin), Benni Cellini (cello) and Michael Ende (bass) entered the stage. Singer Holly knew excellently how to incorporate the audience into the programme. The mood was at the height of the evening when he again got Thomas Lindner as a guest on stage. Together with him, he encouraged the spectators to a "song competition" and they also sang together a song which was a wonderful surprise. After 25 songs they finally left the stage and a happy audience, which did not want to allow them to go, behind them.

All in all, it was an extremely successful and long lasting event - I had the feeling, that the bands felt very well this evening and gave everything - just as the guests!
