EP Review

TENEK's new releases are always some events. ‘Another Day’ is the new one consisting in 2 tracks plus 2 remixes. Starting with ‘Another Day (radio edit)’... let's state it clearly: this is a smashing hit! Pure Synth hard-core fans will certainly criticize the usage of guitars and drums... but I find it very well mixed in the electronic production. No doubt this song will soon climb into alternative charts. Uplifting, catchy chorus, very well produced. Second track, ‘A New Foundation’, is on a mid tempo, but heavy and dark enough to have you grooving. Very interesting structure, a strong and memorable chorus, haunting keyboards pads and atmospheric piano line.

The third track is a remix of their previous hit, ‘Elusive’ (released back in October 2011 on the EP 2), very efficient for clubs no doubt about it. And the EP ends up on the Airwolf One Remix of ‘Another Day’. Very, very dancy and attractive. Definitely a club hit! To sum it up... frustration! Those 21 minutes go to fast and the only thing left to do at the end of it is to press the play button again... and again... and again. It's been a long time now since previous album ‘On The Wire’ was released (2010), and having an EP every two years is really frustrating. But at least, they focus on producing very good music, improving year after year and we are really waiting for a new full length album.
