Album Review
SORROWS PATH from Greece formed in 1993. After one year they released a 5 track demo and in 1996 they released an one track promo tape. The band was put on hold in 1998 but the returned in 2005. In 2006 they released their first CD which was a compilation with the tracks from the 1994 demo and the 1996 promo tape. In 2011 it was time for their first full length album which was released from the German label Rock It Up. The music genre of the album is doom metal with some power metal elements. Their main influences are BLACK SABBATH, CANDLEMASS, MEMENTO MORI, SOLITUDE AETURNUS and TAD MOROSE. The band is having good ideas but the production is more like demo production and this does not help to show the ideas of the band and makes tedious the listening of the album. Also the singer must improve his vocals and his pronunciation. The band is back in the studio and they recording their second album which is scheduled to be released in late 2012 early 2013.I hope they will improve their weaknesses and we will have a much better album than ‘The Rough Path Of Nihilism’.
