Swedish rock band ROYAL REPUBLIC was founded in late 2007 and a year later it started recording the debut album. The work was completed in 2009 and the CD is preceded by the single entitled ‘All Because Of You’. This EP consists of 5 extremely energetic tracks rather short but that’s enough to burst your head immediately and keep that crazy speed till the end of the album. The furious guitars and absolutely unrestrained drums engross the space around you and almost turn it upside down. The avalanche of sounds overwhelms a listener while the hilarious rhythm penetrates into every single cell of the body and makes it move.
Actually I can’t say that the material of the EP is unique or surprisingly fresh nevertheless the musicians managed to put their individuality into the songs which strike from the very beginning but unfortunately the compositions despite all their quality and energy are not diverse enough to stick in the memory and they don’t arouse strong emotions. Although ‘All Because Of You’ is a perfect thing to listen to when you need to be distracted from bothering thoughts or simply cheer up.
