US Soldiers To Fly With Korn

KORN will take eight U.S. soldiers from London to New York next week for a few days of well-deserved leave which will culminate with the band's November 29 special pre-album release performance at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The soldiers--who have served in either Afghanistan or Iraq and are currently on leave in Frankfurt, Germany and Venice, Italy--will join KORN and MTV Europe contest winners for this "See You On The Other Side" chartered flight and special performance in connection with the release of KORN's new album SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE, due out December 6 via the band's new global partnership with EMI/Virgin Records.

Says KORN: "We already have the private plane arranged and we were thinking, 'Who else can we bring with us to New York City besides the contest winners?' We just figured, 'Who really needs to get away and spend a few days in New York City?' So we thought it'd be cool if we were joined by some soldiers on the plane and bring them back to U.S. soil for a real taste of home and some U.S. rock and roll right after Thanksgiving. We're absolutely honored to do this."

Korn's EP "The Other Side, Part 2" is currently the #1 Rock Album on ITunes!

Korn is dominating ITunes best-selling Albums charts with the #1 and #3 Rock Albums, and the #6 and #10 Overall Albums
The Other Side, Part 2 - #1 Rock Album, #6 Overall Album

Korn Road Manager Report 11.22.05

Another good day in Germany today.
We started with a radio takeover at the altertnative rock station Radio Fritz. The band played Twisted Transistor, Throw Me Away and Liar and talked for over 1/2 hour about the release of the commercial single, the upcoming release of the album, as well as the special edition and hyping up tonight's show.

We then went to the venue for tonight's free show sponsored by Radio Fritz and O2 Cellular. This concert was set up like a "flash mob concert" where as O2 texted their large music fan base about the free show on Monday morning. Radio Fritz started banging it yesterday morning as well and made all day today a special "Korn Day" on air. With just one day advance notice, a huge crowd stood outside the 1800 capacity venue waiting to get in. A couple dozen kids even slept over night on Monday night to make sure they got in. Local evening news stopped by to cover the crowd as well.

02 and the promoter ended up turning away a couple hundred kids but the other 1800 saw a great 75 minute Korn show for free.
