Death metal band Monstrosity is back on the road. Their last European tour was cancelled last year, due to logistic problems. Now they are back to promote 'Rise to Power' again and to show us some new material. Tony Norman, who's no longer member is replaced by Mark English. More line-up changes are posted underneath.

MONSTROSITY have announced the "Triumph In Black" European tour The tour consists of 33 shows within 33 days with stops in over 12 countries. Support will come from long standing California deathgrinders Deeds Of Flesh who did a full U.S./Canada tour with Monstrosity in 2002. Also on the trek will be underground killers Vile and Impaled.

33 shows in 33 days is a daunting task but thats just what the band hungers for. The band is known for being a touring juggernaut. Having conquered 5 albums and countless US and European tours, the band have also performed in many Latin American markets as well including Peru, Colombia (Rock Al Parque festival - 80,000 people!!), Mexico (several times including a full tour), Venezuela, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico.

The band have endured many ups and downs in their 15 year career. Label problems as well as numerous line up changes have occured but the intensity and savage approach of the band still remain intact.

New bandmembers

Alumni of the band include George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, Pat O'brien, Rob Barrett, of Cannibal Corpse as well as Tony Norman from Morbid Angel/ Terrorizer who has now been officially replaced in Monstrosity by Mark English. The band also welcome to the fold new vocalist Brian Werner who will only add to the growing legacy. The band is rounded out by band leader/founder Lee Harrison on drums, guitarist Sam Molina and bassist Mike Poggione who happens to be featured in the bass corner segment of this months issue of Pit Magazine.

The band have a new page on myspace www.myspace.com/monstrosity1 that features some unreleased versions of demo songs as well as an unreleased remix version of the song "Abysmal Gods". Also, there are postcards posted in the picture section documenting some of the bands travels. Check it out if you get the chance. A new interview with drummer Lee Harrison has been posted too.
