INTROThree months without a Diary of Dreams newsletter! That’s tough, we know, but we had our reasons. Still, we would like to say sorry for not keeping in touch for a while. We had some troublewith our computers, luckily now a thing of the past. And double luck that we managed to retrieve all the data of our DoD mailing list and can offer you the newest DoD information again!

On Diary of Dreams’ homepage, there’s a new desktop on offer. Check out the FX area at www.diaryofdreams.de. There, you can download the latest signed DoD photo for a great new desktop design!
2005 – the year in review
2005 was an eventful year for DOD. They visited new countries, and they gave their fans the possibility to see them live with two very different sets. The acoustic set they presented on their second tour gave their concerts a completely new atmosphere that was extremely well received. Diary Of Dreams also played two gigs in Berlin – both times in sold out venues.
Even though we couldn’t be there with the band all the time, the reaction from you and from the media proves that the last year went more than just well and was full of great moments and wonderful musical experiences – and you all have been a big part of that!
With great pleasure and also some amazement we still watch the DOD fan base grow, while the old fans stay loyal. Therefore, a big thank you to all of you out there!
Last year also saw the release of the first live album of the band, “alive”. At the same time, they undertook the first steps to prepare a live DVD, when Guido Fricke and his team immortalized many great moments of the Live Nigredo 05 tour by filming them.
Diary of Dreams’ digital world also underwent a major change, especially with the expansion of the official homepage into a new playground for all fans – in three languages!
Another new feature that was introduced last year is this newsletter which keeps you informed about all important DoD issues in English, Spanish and German.
DVD
At the time there’s no fixed release date yet for the first live DOD DVD – but as far as we know, the band still plans to release it this year. So let’s all hope that we won’t have to wait too long! As soon as we know the exact release date for the first DOD audiovisual extravaganza, we’ll let you know at once!
LIVE
As already announced, it will be a bit quiet on the concert front for DOD this year. The musicians are busy creating the new studio album, and apart from that, the upcoming DVD means a lot of additional work – therefore live shows have to take the back seat for a while.
Up to now, the only confirmed dates to see the band play live this year are the following festivals:
