DEF LEPPARD are without a doubt one of the most successful British bands of the present. With over 100 million sold records, the UK rockers have belonged to one of the most successful live attractions of the world for decades. It's a true message of happiness for German fans that DEF LEPPARD are coming back on tour in Germany for the first time in 12 years. Shows on the 25th May 2015 in Stuttgart's Porsche Arena, on the 27th May in Offenbach's Stadthalle and on the 28th May 2015 in Cologne's Palladium have been confirmed.
Since their foundation at the end of the 70s, the band from the English working class town Sheffield has developed from a pure rock act that toured in support of the legendary AC/DC and RAINBOW to one of the most popular and innovative melodic rock bands of the world. DEF LEPPARD were the first band ever that already used round stages in the biggest US venues in 1987. DEF LEPPARD belong to the only five rock bands of history that achieved to sell over 10 million copies of two following records in the US, as happened with the record ‘Pyromania’ (1983) and ‘Hysteria’(1987). Hits like ‘Bringin' On The Heartbreak’, ‘Foolin'’, ‘Photograph’, ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’, ‘Let's Get Rocked’ or ‘Animal’ cannot be imagined out of American pop culture.
A Broadway musical and a film from 2013 with Tom Cruise and Catherina Zeta-Jones have been named after the great hit ‘Rock Of Ages’, of course DEF LEPPARD also played a significant role on the soundtrack. In summer 2014, DEF LEPPARD played a shared headliner tour in 42 arenas in the US together with KISS. On their first proper Germany tour since 2003, the five Brits surrounding singer Joe Elliott will present their greatest hits finally again after more than a decade.
