Editors & The Twilight Sad

The EDITORS are going to release their new studio album `In Dream´ via Play It Again Sam on October 2nd 2015. After `No Harm´, the first new song in two years, has been presented as a hidden track on a Play It Again Sam sampler, and the over seven minute long `Marching Orders´, which has been pressed on 300 test CDs and donated to Oxfam, the EDITIORS are happy to announce the upcoming release of their fifth studio album `In Dream´. Recorded in Crear, in the Western Highlands of Scotland, and mixed by Alan Moulder in London, `In Dream´ is the second record made by the “new” line-up: Next to the founding members Tom Smith, Russell Leetch and Ed Lay, Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams also played their parts.

After two years of intense touring the five have enhanced the EDITOR sound on their new album by departing from the dynamic rock of `The Weight Of Your Love´ (number 4 on the Media Control album charts) and returning to a production process influenced by electronic music. This way they forge a bridge between their debut album and their third record `This Light And On This Evening´, which made them No. 1 in Great Britain.

`In Dream´ is an album that allows artistic interpretation also beyond the band. It is the first EDITORS album on which one can hear duets (Rachel Goswell from SLOWDIVE lends them her voice in the tracks `Ocean Of Night´, `The Law´ and `At All Cost´). In addition, Alan Moulder was allowed to mix the songs after the recordings on his own without being influenced by the band, while Rahi Rezvani had a free hand in taking photos and shooting videos that accompany the album and its singles. According to Tom Smith, this is a clear and distinct statement in the belief that music can be both – poppy and experimental. `In Dream´ is available worldwide as a download, LP, CD and a 2 CD deluxe set from October 2nd 2015.

Accompanying the release is a tour leading them through various cities. On 2nd November 2015, the band stops in Cologne.
