iamx2015“IAMX is basically my public therapy,” says Chris Corner. It's the artist's way of connecting with the world, pouring out his heart, and dancing at the same time. To Chris IAMX acts as an outlet for all the stuff that he cannot let off in everyday life. `Metanoia´, the new and by now sixth album is a milestone for the British composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and video artist. In the world of electronic music, Chris has established himself as one of the most important contemporary artists. He founded the British trip hop heroes SNEAKER PIMPS and can be proud of a great IAMX following. Having evolved from an enigmatic studio project to a captivating live act, IAMX always cause a sensation with their visual elements, costumes, and illustrious lineup.

‘Metanoia’ is the product of a tough time during which Chris fought manifold personal demons: despair, depression, and insomnia. He even got to the point of thinking music bore part of the blame for his condition and came within a whisker of giving it all up. Today he explains it as follows: “I had to sort of reprogram myself. After a therapy I've realized that it wasn't the music that was hurting me. On the contrary, I wanted to make music more than ever.” So, he moved from Berlin to sunny Los Angeles and made an impressive, new start creating ‘Metanoia’ in an absolutely relaxed atmosphere. One can clearly hear the sense of new, creative liberation. ‘Metanoia’ carries you along, gets under your skin, and fills you with enthusiasm!
