Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – “European Tour 2018” – Support: Blossoms

A mere 36 days after his estranged brother will have played Cologne’s Palladium, the songwriter and mastermind behind British Uber-band OASIS, NOEL GALLAGHER, is heading to the rival city Düsseldorf to appear in the substantially larger venue Mitsubishi Electric Hall.

I guess there is no better way of saying “F*ck you”, when booking a tour. It certainly does not look like things between the two Gallagher brothers are mending again since Noel’s walkout from OASIS in 2009, as the brothers keep trading insults over the media on a regular basis. However, Noel still seems to be the steadier one of the brothers, as he has been releasing music with his band, the HIGH FLYING BIRDS, since 2011. They recently released their third album, ‘Who Built the Moon’, end of 2017. Critics have deemed this album to be a departure from the classic Brit Pop sound, as it incorporates many diverse influences, such as Electronic music, psychedelic Pop and Soul. This world tour stop in Düsseldorf is a welcome opportunity for fans to enjoy the good old times as well as some new material.
