The legendary UK Goth band GHOST DANCE have just announced dates for their forthcoming world tour. GHOST DANCE was originally formed in 1985 by Anne Marie Hurst (ex-SKELETAL FAMILY) and Gary Marx (ex-SISTERS OF MERCY). Anne Marie’s distinctive vocals and the bass-heavy Gothic Rock sound, established GHOST DANCE as one of the Leeds/ Bradford alternative legacy bands of the 80s. They had many dance floor hits like, ‘The River of No Return’ and gained a loyal band of followers aptly named ‘The Spook Squad.’ GHOST DANCE disbanded I 1989, despite being signed two years earlier with a major record label: Chrysalis. Anne Marie reformed the band in 2019 with a brand-new line-up. Their latest album, ‘The Silent Shout’ released in May last year, skyrocketed straight to the top of the Apple Indie charts and has maintained a presence ever since, recently re-entering the top ten. Whenever the band tours, they do so to a packed-out audience. The tour kicks off with one-off, intimate acoustic set in Newstead, UK - which very quickly sold out. Then in April, the band will be embarking on a tour of UK, Europe, followed by a special acoustic set at the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool, UK. There are more dates in October in the UK and Scotland, before abandoning the cold weather to play in sunny Mexico.
