MORPHOSE combines relentlessly driving beats in catchy electronic song arrangements with dark epic soundscapes. This unique project is produced by musician, songwriter, film music producer, and video artist Christoph Schauer at his Macroscope Studio in Berlin. He receives support from various singers who each contribute their own distinct touch to the songs with their lyrics and voices.
Currently, Schauer is working on the new album ‘The Open Shutter’, set to be released in October. The concert on 27th October at Kulttempel Oberhausen is essentially something like a release party. The album will feature appearances by Lennart A. Salomon (SONO), Sascha Klein (NEUROTICFISH), Viktorija Kukule, Arc Morton (CYTO), Sven Friedrich (ZERAPHINE, SOLAR FAKE), and Christian Schottstädt (FORCED TO MODE, PART). But MORPHOSE is not coming to Oberhausen alone. Bon Harris (founding member of NITZER EBB) will also be part of the event with his “Songs From the Lemon Tree”. The musician from Los Angeles has produced, remixed, and played synthesizers for numerous artists like MARILYN MANSON, SMASHING PUMPKINS, and DEPECHE MODE. JANREVOLUTION will further enrich the evening with their emotional and energetic music. The Electro Pop Rock band has already impressed live audiences this year with BLUTENGEL and SHE HATES EMOTIONS. I myself was convinced of the live qualities of the three musicians at the release party for the current ALIENARE album ‘Emerald’ in Erfurt (read it here).
