PLACEBO are happy to announce their second single ‘Ashtray Heart’ from the praised new album ‘Battle For The Sun’ which is the first PLACEBO album to hit the #1 spot of the German charts. Furthermore, it took the leading position of the European billboard charts and directly entered the charts at #1 in Belgium, France, Austria, Switzerland, Mexico, Greece, Turkey and Taiwan, as well as the top 5 in 20 further countries worldwide. The single will be released on 18th September 2009 as CDM and digital download bundle, including a new b-side and a remix.After 25 shows on European festivals this summer the band just has announced their tour dates for autumn and here they are:
