Album Review

The first time I listened to the debut ‘Hard Rock'n'Roll’ by 42 DECIBEL, I was convinced that those guys HAD to be from the same country (Australia) as their idols - no doubt at all! Too indispensable was the comparison with AC/DC, AIRBOURNE or ROSE TATTOO. But those freaking guys are from Buenos Aires/ Argentina! But their sound is so close to the typical sound of Aussie-Rock, so that it is hard to believe they´re not. 42 DECIBEL created a release that refers to the early works of the pioneers of Hard Rock AC/DC. They succeeded in reviving the early “bluesy” sound of the first releases of AC/DC with Bon Scott.

Of course, 42 DECIBEL are not reinventing the wheel, but with ‘Hard Rock'n'Roll’ they deliver a piece of music that is refreshing and shows that not only Australian bands are able to play such music. In fact, one has to rethink that cliché and to rank those newcomer first as “AC/DC´s successors”. All tracks are well composed and coherent. 42 DECIBEL is a band that asserts itself and ‘Hard Rock'n'Roll’ is an album that’s needs to be listened to… and moreover that needs to be bought! It´s without a doubt a “must have”…! This debut ‘Hard Rock'n'Roll’ is an impressive demonstration of what 42 DECIBEL is capable of and what they have in store for the future! Chapeau!
