linkin park papercutsLINKIN PARK have released ‘Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023)’, the first Greatest Hits album featuring songs from their entire career. The collection is now available everywhere via Warner Records and can be listened to here: https://lprk.co/Papercuts. Fans have the option of choosing between the digital version on streaming / download platforms and physical versions on CD, cassette, and double vinyl. There are also several limited colored vinyl versions to choose from, as well as a Zoetrope Picture Disc and black vinyl.

To celebrate today’s release, there is also a visualizer for ‘QWERTY’ available, a coveted B-side from the ‘Minutes To Midnight’ era, where Chester Bennington’s unmistakable screams blend seamlessly with Mike Shinoda’s dark Rap parts and saw-like distortions. ‘QWERTY’ is accompanied by a visual that captures the relentless energy of the song with frenetic and glowing images.

Leading up to this, LINKIN PARK also shared the track ‘Friendly Fire’ with the world for the first time. The song, originating from the 2017 sessions for their seventh album ‘One More Light’, recently reached number 1 on the US “Alternative Radio” charts, marking the band’s 13th #1 in this format. ‘Friendly Fire’ has been streamed over 20 million times so far, and the music video has been viewed over seven million times on YouTube. People highlighted that “the song encapsulates the style of [One More Light] perfectly,” while Revolver described it as “poignant, as the single features one of the last recorded vocal performances of their late, great front man Chester Bennington.”

In addition to the new additions ‘Friendly Fire’ and ‘QWERTY’, the 20 tracks on ‘Papercuts’ include 18 essential anthems of the band, from ‘Crawling’ to the JAY-Z collaboration ‘Numb/Encore’ to ‘In The End’, which was recently certified Diamond in the USA (10 million units). The complete track listing is provided below.

Recently, LINKIN PARK released the 20th Anniversary Editions of ‘Hybrid Theory’ (2020) and ‘Meteora’ (2023), which were enthusiastically received by fans and reached number 2 and number 1 on the German album charts, respectively. These reactions ultimately led the band to come together and carefully curate what would become ‘Papercuts’. Bundled into a single epic album, the collection offers a comprehensive retrospective of their journey so far.

‘Papercuts’ is now available everywhere.

“‘Friendly Fire’ has always been one of our favorite songs from the ‘One More Light’ sessions,” comments Brad Delson. “However, there was something about it that wasn’t quite right, so we decided to put it on hold back then, even though it was almost finished. When we were looking for an unreleased track for our Greatest Hits collection, I was simply overwhelmed by the power of the song - its storytelling, the vocals, the sonic landscapes. I thought to myself, ‘Maybe we were further along back then than we realized.’ We sat down and connected some of the missing pieces that, for whatever reason, hadn’t revealed themselves during the recording of ‘One More Light.’ I can't wait to show it to the rest of the world now. It's such a beautiful, gripping, heart-wrenching, hopeful story that still touches me deeply today.”

Mike Shinoda adds: “When we make a LINKIN PARK album, it’s important to me that I love every single song and fully believe in it. I hope that each track, when heard out there on its own, is something I can be proud of and that resonates with the listeners. In this way, we are all connected by the same energy. Curating the tracks for ‘Papercuts’ was a joy. Each song in the collection is both a unique moment on our journey and part of an ongoing story - our own as well as yours. From our first release ‘One Step Closer’ to the brand-new ‘Friendly Fire,’ this tracklist spans all our previous chapters. Thank you for being part of our journey. We hope you enjoy ‘Papercuts’.”

LINKIN PARK can also announce that their single ‘In The End’ (2000) has now achieved Diamond status (10x million) in the USA. This is the first time a single by LINKIN PARK has received a Diamond certification. ‘In The End’ is the band’s most-streamed song with over 1.8 billion Spotify streams and 1.7 billion views on the music video on YouTube. The track is from their debut album ‘Hybrid Theory’, which also holds a historical record with 12 platinum certifications in the USA. In Germany, it has been certified 3x platinum to date.

Most recently, LINKIN PARK released the ‘Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition’ last year, which reached number 1 on the Official German Album Charts. The previously unreleased single ‘Lost’ also became the most successful Rock song of 2023 and was the first LP song in over a decade to top the Billboard “Rock & Alternative Airplay Charts” at #1 in the USA. Additionally, the track debuted at #38 on the Billboard “Hot 100”, marking LINKIN PARK’s highest chart entry since 2012. In the German single charts, the track reached #5. Overall, ‘Lost’ has generated over 166 million Spotify streams and 78 million views on YouTube for the music video. The New York Times, The FADER, The Howard Stern Show, KROQ, and many others praised the ‘Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition’ with great enthusiasm.
