Shearwater & Loma - “When Can I See You?” Tour - Support: Any Kind
Two bands, six musicians and quite a bit of shared history. After eight years away from the stage, SHEARWATER and LOMA are finally going on tour together. And although they have quite a few things in common, their music sounds rather different. On 2nd November, the bands will bring their “When Can I See You?” tour to Hamburg, together with ANY KIND.
Both bands come from Austin, Texas, and share songwriter Jonathan Meiburg and producer Dan Duszynski. They are also signed to Sub Pop and, coincidentally, both have a member named Emily. But they follow different paths when it comes to their music. SHEARWATER are known for their atmospheric Indie Rock and Meiburg’s distinctive voice, while LOMA, with Emily Cross on vocals, combine minimal arrangements and a somewhat hypnotic and atmospheric sound.
Both bands have continued to release music over the years. SHEARWATER released ‘The Great Awakening’ in 2022, followed by ‘The New World’ in 2026. LOMA’s third album ‘How Will I Live Without A Body?’ came out in 2023.
But organising the tour wasn’t quite as easy as they had hoped. With touring costs getting higher and financial support becoming harder to find, SHEARWATER launched a crowdfunding campaign. Thanks to their fans, the campaign reached its goal in September 2026 which made this tour possible. So, the question “When Can I See You?” finally has an answer: On 2nd November in Hamburg.
The tour includes 18 concerts across northern Europe and the UK. Dan Duszynski will also open the shows with his solo project ANY KIND, meaning the same six musicians will be playing in different constellations throughout the evening.
On 2nd November, SHEARWATER, LOMA and ANY KIND will stop at BETTY on Hamburg’s Hamburger Berg.
