BLUTENGEL return to Hamburg next spring as part of their “Schatten:Welt Tour 2027”. On 9th April 2027, the Berlin Dark Pop formation will bring their theatrical electronic world to Gruenspan, one of Hamburg’s most distinctive club venues.
The tour title already suggests the atmosphere of the evening: shadows, desire, devotion and the darkly romantic imagery that has shaped BLUTENGEL since the late 1990s. The Hamburg show promises a night built around electronic intensity, Gothic drama and the direct emotional pull of songs that move between club energy and cinematic melancholy.
For fans of Dark Pop, Future Pop, Synth-Pop and Gothic-influenced electronic music, the concert should offer exactly the kind of visually charged live experience for which BLUTENGEL are known. With the “Schatten:Welt Tour 2027”, BLUTENGEL will travel through selected cities in Spain, Germany and Switzerland. Hamburg is placed at the centre of the German spring run, directly between Oberhausen and Magdeburg, making the Gruenspan concert one of the key northern dates of the tour.
Formed by vocalist and songwriter Chris Pohl, BLUTENGEL have become one of Germany’s defining acts within the dark electronic and Gothic music scene. Since their emergence from Berlin’s black scene, the project has built a devoted international following with a distinctive mix of electronic production, male and female vocals and atmospheric melodies.
The band describe their own sound as Dark Pop: catchy electronic hooks meet darker themes inspired by Gothic fiction, romantic obsession and the imagery of the night. Their songs often explore love, death, immortality, vampirism, desire and emotional dependence, creating a world that is both accessible and unmistakably shadowed.
Across albums such as ‘Child of Glass’, ‘Seelenschmerz’, ‘Monument’, ‘Save Us’ and ‘Leitbild’, BLUTENGEL have developed a sound that can be danceable, fragile, dramatic and openly theatrical. This balance between club-oriented electronics and dark romantic storytelling is what makes the band especially effective in a live setting.
On stage, BLUTENGEL turn these contrasts into a complete visual and musical performance.
