More than 20 years, ten studio albums and over 3,000 concerts around the world: Frank Turner has spent much of his life on stage. Now, the British singer-songwriter has announced an extended break from touring, bidding farewell to his audience for the time being with one final, extensive run of shows. Under the banner of the “Last Evenings World Tour”, Turner and his band THE SLEEPING SOULS will tour North America and Europe in 2027 before the journey concludes with the tenth and final edition of his “Lost Evenings Festival” at London’s OVO Arena Wembley. October will see ten dates in Germany, giving Turner another opportunity to celebrate with his fans. Long-time companions SKINNY LISTER and BEANS ON TOAST will join the tour as special guests, opening each evening.
What began in small clubs has grown into an extraordinary career spanning Folk, Punk Rock and rousing anthems made for singing along. Since his first solo show in 2004, Frank Turner has built an international following through his tireless passion, deeply personal lyrics and unmistakable stage presence. In 2022, his album ‘FTHC’ reached the top of the UK Albums Chart for the first time. His tenth studio album, ‘Undefeated’ (2024), continued that success, reaching number three in the UK Albums Chart and the top of the Independent Albums Chart. Turner has sold more than one million albums worldwide to date.
A look at his live history shows just how wholeheartedly Turner embraces life on the road. In 2022, he embarked on the ambitious ‘50 States in 50 Days’ tour, performing in every US state. In February 2025, he celebrated his 3,000th concert at London’s Alexandra Palace, selling out the venue in just 24 hours. His commitment to the live music scene extends beyond the stage, too. During the pandemic, he raised almost £300,000 for independent music venues through livestreamed performances and later set a world record by playing 15 shows within 24 hours.
With the “Last Evenings World Tour”, Turner is bringing one chapter of his career to a close, at least for now. Following the ninth edition of his ‘Lost Evenings Festival’ in Dallas, he announced that he would be stepping away from touring for an indefinite period. After 28 years on the road, the musician wants to explore new paths, spend more time with family and friends, and devote himself to other projects. When he will return to the stage, and in what form, remains uncertain.
That makes the upcoming shows all the more special. With euphoric choruses, personal stories and lyrics sung back by thousands of voices, fans will have another chance in October 2027 to experience what has defined Frank Turner for more than two decades: the direct, powerful connection between performer and audience. For a long time to come, this may be the last opportunity to dance, sing and celebrate that unique sense of community together.
