MESH drop the advance track ‘Trying to Save You (Remix)’, which is taken from their forthcoming new mini-album ‘Fallen Angel’. This remix has been crafted by the UK alternative electronic duo’s brilliant engineer Olaf Wollschläger. ‘Fallen Angel’ has been scheduled for release on November 27, 2026.MESH explain: “The 42-minute mini ‘Fallen Angel’ is like a short addendum to our last album”, Richard Silverthorn states on behalf of the duo. “We were on a motivational high after an exceptionally successful tour. Originally, we planned to write a B-side for our next single release, but suddenly we were on a roll, and added several good tracks in record time. Consider this mini-album as something like a surprise encore after a great show: our personal thanks to everyone who supported Mesh in 2026!”
MESH comment: “When Mark first sent me the demo, I instantly took a liking to it”, Richard Silverthorn explains. “I could see the musical appeal straight away. It also had all the elements that a single needs, such as a big, catchy chorus. Even now, I still think it makes sense as a single, and everyone else who heard it felt the same about its potential. Since the album was already out, releasing the same version didn’t feel right. That would have meant giving people something they were already familiar with. So, we stripped it back, gave it a different feel, and thus made the track even more single-like. On top of this, we asked Olaf to come up with a remix, which turned out great. Enjoy!”

Flying on the wings of success can often lead to flights of creativity and imagination. The mini-album ‘Fallen Angel’ follows in the wake of MESH’s current album ‘The Truth Doesn’t Matter’, which has already been reprinted several times. The band’s masterminds, Mark Hockings and Richard Silverthorn, felt that they had some unfinished business with their latest record.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed full-length that has scored several “Album of the Month” accolades and a first leg of touring with many sold-out shows, the duo was extremely motivated to start writing again. New material soon emerged and the tracks felt more like an addendum to ‘The Truth Doesn’t Matter’ than the beginning of a new chapter. MESH decided to release those new tracks in combination with remixes and live recordings as a mini-album. ‘Fallen Angel’ offers a deeper dive into the themes and concepts of ‘The Truth Doesn’t Matter’.
MESH’s album title ‘The Truth Doesn’t Matter’ reflects the current age of post-factual lies, and the dark undertones of that theme occasionally seep into their new songs. What remains entirely true is the fact that the UK duo has a nearly uncanny knack for writing electronic hits that are as elegant as they are captivating.
‘The Truth Doesn’t Matter’ bursts out like a sparkling firework while subtly referencing five decades of electronic music spanning from GIORGIO MORODER, YAZOO, and DEPECHE MODE via GARBAGE and MASSIVE ATTACK to more contemporary artists. At the same time, MESH always maintain their easily recognisable and unique musical identity as well as the trademark sounds that they have cultivated since their beginnings in the early nineties.
MESH were formed in 1991, when lead singer and guitarist Mark Hockings and keyboard player and vocalist Richard Silverthorn found friendship and common sonic ground, leading to the formation of the band. This musical partnership has ever since defined MESH’s enduring legacy.
The duo was soon joined by keyboardist Neil Taylor, who had already been playing in another band with Silverthorn. MESH’s creative synergy originally emerged from a complementary distribution of roles: Richard Silverthorn mostly composed the music, while Mark Hockings penned evocative and profound lyrics, infusing depth and emotion into their soundscapes. Today, these roles are largely shared by both artists.
With ‘The Truth Doesn’t Matter’, MESH climb yet another rung on the ladder, leading to electronic music heaven. Each song wriggles its way happily into the brain and sticks around leading to spontaneous whistling of melodies and the public singing of extremely catchy chorus lines. ‘Fallen Angel’ revisits the world of MESH’s acclaimed album in a way that resembles a DLC in gaming by extending the original story and adding exciting new chapters.
