“If that ends up being the last time some people see us, we want to make it special.” In a recent public statement, ENTER SHIKARI announced that the band would be taking an indefinite hiatus. Their five German dates from 3 to 7 November 2026 therefore offer one of the last opportunities to experience the British Trancecore pioneers live. That the shows in Hamburg, Munich, Leipzig, Düsseldorf and Berlin will be special for reasons beyond the prospect of a farewell is demonstrated by the release of the band’s new song ‘Higher Ground’, just days after they announced their hiatus. ENTER SHIKARI are still working on new music and will do everything they can to make their remaining shows truly memorable.
Over more than two decades, the band have proved many things: that genres are not boundaries but bridges, and that deliberately crossing those boundaries can lead to success on a global scale. Above all, however, ENTER SHIKARI are a live band. With around 3,000 shows worldwide, arena tours, festival headline slots and a legendary performance at Wembley Arena, their concerts are physical experiences, collective releases of energy and complete works of art combining light, noise and intimacy.
The band’s decision to donate part of their ticket revenue to support grassroots venues is entirely in keeping with a group for whom people have always mattered more than success. This philosophy also underpins their difficult decision to put their public musical activities on hold for an indefinite period.
