Within just a few seconds, there is no mistaking who is singing: with her distinctive voice, instantly recognisable guitar playing and knack for writing choruses that stay with you, AMY MACDONALD has secured a firm place in European Pop. More than twelve million records sold, over one billion streams, twelve international Platinum awards and performances in front of millions of people all underline the fact that her career extends far beyond a single hit. In July 2027, the Scottish singer-songwriter will return to Germany for seven concerts.The dates follow an intense year of live activity. In spring 2026, AMY MACDONALD brought her latest studio album ‘Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For?’ to Germany with a sold-out indoor tour. In August, she followed this with a total of 13 open-air dates across the country. Released in autumn 2025, ‘Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For?’ sees Macdonald addressing toxic friendships, dysfunctional relationships and the pressure of societal expectations. Above all, however, it is about the moment when standing still is no longer enough. The songs explore letting go, survival and finding the strength to keep moving forward despite setbacks. The result is Macdonald at her most determined and unfiltered yet.
The title track in particular captures this attitude. Driven by a pulsating rhythm and powerful dynamics, it also captures the tension and excitement of a night of live music. AMY MACDONALD sees performing live not simply as a reproduction of her recordings, but as a direct exchange with her audience. The fact that her debut album ‘This Is the Life’ celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2027 adds a special nostalgic element to the dates. The title track and single ‘Mr Rock & Roll’ marked AMY MACDONALD’s international breakthrough in 2007. With her Folk-Rock sound and sharp songwriting, she found an audience around the world and delivered hits that have since become firmly established classics. The summer 2027 concerts will therefore bring together past and present: familiar anthems, recent material, powerful full-band moments and quieter passages in which Macdonald’s precise storytelling comes particularly to the fore all promise memorable evenings.
