Second wave of bands brings ten further acts to Cologne - four of them celebrating their Amphi debuts. The next Amphi summer continues to take shape: ten more bands have been confirmed for the Amphi Festival, taking place on 24 and 25 July 2027 at the Cologne Tanzbrunnen. With COMBICHRIST, HOCICO, FADERHEAD, IAMX, UNZUCHT, IST IST, YEARS OF DENIAL, TORUL, MOTEL TRANSYLVANIA and HINFORT, the programme expands to include major international scene names as well as several Amphi debutants.The second wave of bands is spearheaded by COMBICHRIST, who combine electronic intensity and Industrial Metal into an explosive live show. With HOCICO, one of the most internationally renowned icons of Aggrotech is coming to Cologne, while FADERHEAD is set to get the crowd moving in front of the stage with powerful electronics and numerous club hits. A very special festival premiere is on the horizon with IAMX: the project led by Chris Corner will be performing at the Amphi Festival for the first time, blending electronic sounds with an eccentric performance and a distinctly unique aesthetic.
Manchester’s IST IST will also make their Amphi debut in 2027, bringing their atmospheric, dark Post-Punk to the Rhine. Also appearing for the first time are YEARS OF DENIAL with their hypnotic blend of EBM and Darkwave, and HINFORT, who combine melancholic Darkwave with Post-Punk. The new band wave is completed by UNZUCHT with their powerful Dark Rock and Metal edge, the Slovenian Electro-Pop act TORUL, and Italian Industrial Metallers MOTEL TRANSYLVANIA.
As a result, the 2027 line-up is already growing into a comprehensive cross-section of the international dark, electro, gothic and post-punk scenes. Previously confirmed acts include VNV NATION with an Old School Set, DEINE LAKAIEN, BLUTENGEL, TR/ST, NACHTBLUT, DIE KRUPPS, AESTHETIC PERFECTION, THE BEAUTY OF GEMINA, MANNTRA and A LIFE DIVIDED. Further bands and the supporting programme are currently in preparation.
The Amphi Festival 2027 will take place on 24 and 25 July 2027, once again set against the striking riverside backdrop of the Cologne Tanzbrunnen.
