The Amphi Festival 2025 is casting a long shadow ahead. Just in time for the year’s end, the ultimate cult event of the dark scene, taking place on July 19-20, 2025 at Cologne’s Tanzbrunnen, has revealed new additions to its line-up: VNV NATION, SKYND, PSYCLON NINE, ZANIAS, SPIRITUAL FRONT, AUGER, and THE SECOND SIGHT.VNV NATION, pioneers of Future Pop led by frontman Ronan Harris, combine melodic Synth Pop with driving beats and emotional lyrics. Known for their high-energy live shows, they’ve captivated a loyal fanbase for over two decades. SKYND create a uniquely dark and intense atmosphere with songs inspired by real-life crime cases and human darkness. Their music fuses industrial elements with a distinctive visual aesthetic. PSYCLON NINE, hailing from the U.S., stand out in the Industrial-Metal scene with their raw, aggressive sound that blends EBM and black metal. Their dark, foreboding atmosphere and charismatic performances have become their trademark.
Australian singer and producer ZANIAS is celebrated for her hypnotic electro sounds and introspective lyrics. Both as a solo artist and co-founder of LINEA ASPERA, she has left a lasting mark on the darkwave scene. SPIRITUAL FRONT have carved a niche with their charismatic blend of Neofolk, Dark Cabaret, and Post-Punk. The Italian band humorously describes their style as “mafia folk”. The UK duo AUGER merge Gothic Rock and Darkwave with modern electronics, delivering catchy melodies and powerful performances that have made them a rising name in the scene. Germany’s THE SECOND SIGHT captivate with their melancholic darkwave sound, which incorporates elements of post-punk and shoegaze. Their atmospheric style enchants fans.
