The Highfield Festival, one of East Germany’s largest music festivals, has confirmed 21 new acts for its 2025 edition, taking place from August 15 to 17 at Lake Störmthal near Leipzig. Joining the previously announced K.I.Z are major names like DEICHKIND, KONTRA K, and CLUESO, promising an unforgettable weekend of music and energy.Eloquently embracing chaos, DEICHKIND has become a staple of modern German culture. The Hamburg-based group merges hip-hop and electronic music into a sound that is uniquely theirs. Alongside their innovative music are lyrics that combine hedonism with glimpses into existential abysses. Without moralizing, DEICHKIND reflects society by holding a disco ball up to its face. Their latest album, ‘Neues vom Dauerzustand’, continues this trend. Fans can also expect an electrifying live experience, performed as if there’s no tomorrow.
For KONTRA K, music is both art and a competitive sport. The former inspires lyrics that resonate with the highs and lows of countless listeners, while the latter fuels an unrelenting drive that consistently breaks records. The 2023 album, ‘Die Hoffnung klaut mir niemand’, with its powerful 19 tracks, shot to #1 on the charts and achieved gold status. As one of the most influential voices in German Rap, such accolades are just another chapter in the remarkable story of the tireless Berlin artist.
CLUESO’s latest release, simply titled ‘Album’, is grand in scope despite its understated name. The singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer needs no flashy words on the cover - he saves those for his songs, where compelling lyrics meet anthemic melodies that are emotional yet never overly sentimental. On stage, CLUESO’s magic comes alive, regularly selling out large venues and delivering concert moments that linger in the memories of longtime fans and new admirers alike.
The Highfield Festival will also feature performances by NINA CHUBA, THE KOOKS, VON WEGEN LISBETH, BILDERBUCH, PAULA HARTMANN, MADSEN, GROSSSTADTGEFLÜSTER, and LEONIDEN. Fans of Hip-Hop can look forward to rising crews 102 BOYZ and MEHNERSMOOS, who join the diverse line-up. Other confirmed acts include BLOND, ZEBRAHEAD, and BIBIZA, alongside PAULA CAROLINA and IKKIMEL, who will bring their unique styles to the stages at Lake Störmthal. The program is further enriched by performances from THE SUBWAYS, ALLI NEUMANN, and 100 KILO HERZ.
