UK Industrial-Electronic artist j:DEAD continues his 12-month release campaign with ‘Cannibal’, released on 2nd October 2026 via Infacted Recordings.Described as an Industrial-Techno-Pop anthem, ‘Cannibal’ pushes the evolving J:DEAD sound into an intense and emotionally charged space. Harsh, stabbing saw synths collide with distorted guitars and driving electronic production, while Jay Taylor delivers a vocal performance that moves from soft and heartfelt passages to raw, screaming expressions of heartbreak.
Lyrically, ‘Cannibal’ explores anxiety and the uncomfortable process of confronting your own destructive habits and failures. The song uses cannibalism as a metaphor for consuming the parts of yourself that you recognise as damaging or perceived failures in character. But what happens when you consume yourself?
The song questions whether destroying and rebuilding parts of your identity actually creates a stronger version of who you were, or whether the process simply creates something entirely new - a chaotic combination of everything that came before.
Released on 2nd October 2026, ‘Cannibal’ is another step into the increasingly expansive world of J:DEAD, where Industrial aggression, electronic energy and vulnerable songwriting collide.
