Hurts - Live 2027
It’s such a wonderful life! British Synth-Pop duo HURTS return to Germany in summer 2027 for two exclusive open-air concerts, bringing their distinctive combination of sweeping melodies, elegant electronics and emotional intensity to Hamburg’s Stadtpark on 16 June.
Formed in Manchester by singer Theo Hutchcraft and musician Adam Anderson, HURTS rose to international prominence with their 2010 debut album ‘Happiness’. Its breakthrough single ‘Wonderful Life’ became a defining anthem for the duo, whose sophisticated blend of Synth-Pop, New Wave and cinematic Pop drew on the drama and atmosphere of the 1980s while forging a sound of their own.
Over the years, HURTS have built a catalogue of deeply melodic songs, from ‘Stay’ and ‘Miracle’ to ‘Some Kind of Heaven’. Albums including ‘Exile’, ‘Surrender’, ‘Desire’ and ‘Faith’ have traced their artistic evolution, balancing dark romanticism with grand choruses and sleek production. Their music moves effortlessly between intimacy and spectacle, melancholy and euphoria.
In the open-air setting of Hamburg’s Stadtpark, those contrasts promise a particularly evocative live experience. With Hutchcraft’s expressive vocals, Anderson’s atmospheric soundscapes and songs made for singing along, the performance offers a chance to rediscover the unmistakable world of HURTS under the summer sky.
