plage noire2024 fkpThe sixth chapter of the “Legend of the Black Beach” has been written: PLAGE NOIRE 2024 enchanted the Weißenhäuser Strand this past weekend, drawing around 3,000 guests to the Baltic Sea coast. Even before the official festival kick-off, about a third of the attendees celebrated an energetic start at Thursday’s warm-up party. On Friday and Saturday, the three festival stages showcased the full spectrum of sounds from the dark scene.

Friday thrilled fans with the crushing sounds of headliner Eisbrecher, alongside performances by LORD OF THE LOST, L’ÂME IMMORTELLE, CORVUS CORAX, HOCICO, AGONOIZE, and more. The line-up delivered a mix of fiery provocations, melancholic tones, and electrifying moments. The festival reached its climax on Saturday with an epic live show by scene legends SUBWAY TO SALLY. Their performance featured bagpipes, medieval-inspired power sounds, and poignant lyrics. The day also brought gentle synth melodies and brutal beats from acts like PROJECT PITCHFORK, DIARY OF DREAMS, HELDMASCHINE, FUNKER VOGT, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, RABIA SORDA, and AMDUSCIA.

Festivalgoers enjoyed readings by Christian von Aster and Klaus Märkert, met their favourite artists during autograph sessions, and immersed themselves in the medieval market, complete with fire shows accompanied by the sounds of bagpipes and drums. The bodypainting art also drew admiration and inspiration. A returning favourite were the fashion walks, where models showcased collections from scene-specific labels in the Galeria, offering a stylish highlight for attendees.

Stephan Thanscheidt, CEO and Head of Festival Booking at organizer FKP Scorpio, shared a glowing review of the final festival weekend of 2024: “Over the years, PLAGE NOIRE has evolved into a true connoisseur’s festival and has become an indispensable part of the dark scene. Our guests revelled in the stage shows with pure ecstasy, danced through the disco nights, and turned the event into a genuine family reunion. This atmosphere has sparked immense anticipation for next year, not only among the artists but also for us as organizers.”

The next PLAGE NOIRE will take place on November 14-15, 2025, at the vacation and leisure park Weißenhäuser Strand. Ticket sales are already underway. This year’s attendees can save the room booking fee for 2025 by providing their 2024 booking number when placing their order. For more information, visit plagenoire.de.
