In the days leading up to the concert, the city of Hamburg was all about LINKIN PARK: Warner Music gave the band a warm welcome and organized numerous fan events across the city starting Thursday, culminating in a fan event at the legendary Thai Oasis on Saturday.
The release of ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ just days after ‘The Emptiness Machine’ has a specific reason: the new song is the official anthem of the League of Legends World Championship 2024. With its driving energy, the song will energize the participants at the finals - the Riot Games Arena in Berlin is one of three venues, alongside Paris and London - as they battle through the multidimensional competition of League of Legends. The song is also part OF LINKIN PARK’s upcoming album ‘From Zero’, their first since 2017, which will be available everywhere starting November 15. You can pre-order/save it via Warner Records: https://fromzero.linkinpark.com/
Currently, the “From Zero World Tour” is in full swing across six arenas worldwide. After Los Angeles, New York, and Hamburg, a show in London was taking place on Monday. Due to high demand, LINKIN PARK has announced three additional stadium shows for 2024 in Paris, Dallas, and São Paulo. The exclusive pre-sale for members of the official fan club, LP Underground, begins on September 25, with general sales starting on September 27. ‘The Emptiness Machine’ has caused a global sensation, including in Germany, where the song gave LINKIN PARK their first-ever #1 single in the country, following five #1 albums, and is currently leading the charts for the second week. Internationally, the song entered the Top 5 on the Spotify Global Charts and has posted unprecedented numbers for a current rock song on DSPs - with 85 million streams on Spotify alone, and the music video has been viewed 28 million times on YouTube. Additionally, LINKIN PARK reached another milestone: with over 54 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the band is now “the most streamed rock band on the platform” and among the “40 most streamed artists worldwide on the platform.”

LINKIN PARK also brought ‘The Emptiness Machine’ to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Mike Shinoda’s interview with the host, which was both informative and entertaining, can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siyzPSEnUTo.
The new track also garnered praise across the media landscape, with The New York Times calling ‘The Emptiness Machine’ a “bombastic new track” and noting: “The band is now ready to come as close as possible to their early days.” The Los Angeles Times emphasized that this isn’t just a “repeat of the past with different means”: “LINKIN PARK’s impressive comeback is more than just an echo of their past.” Billboard, in its extensive cover story, attested that ‘From Zero’ “pulsates with new energy, a dynamic expansion of LINKIN PARK’s multifaceted style.” The band consistently conveys “a sense of momentum and intensity. Slowing down or going through the motions? Not happening with their big comeback.”
On ‘From Zero’, the band draws from the energy of their early days, connecting it with their present and future. The new era has officially begun.
