The legendary festivals, Rock am Ring and its twin sibling Rock im Park, certainly have earned their place in the annual pilgrimage ritual of hundreds of thousands of music enthusiasts.
Founded in 1985, the Nürburgring and its sister festival on the storied grounds in Nuremberg have seen all the big names in Rock and Pop music ever since. And the headliners are definitely worth continuing this tradition. So far, 40,000 weekend tickets have been sold, many due to the early announcement of LINKIN PARK.
But also, the remaining 20 bands of the already announced line-up should satisfy your craving, whatever musical style you are into. And there will be definitely many more band announcement waves to come. But the bands are only one part of the festival experience. Every seasoned festivalgoer will tell you that the best parties can be found on the vast campgrounds.
So, say goodbye to sleep, running water, and any other amenities of civilized life and embrace three days of true freedom and anarchy at the legendary festival grounds. This year, there will also be a limited supply of day tickets. But do not obsess over the running order too long, as tickets are going fast for Rock im Park.
