Suede - “Dancing With The Europeans Tour”

Few bands can do what SUEDE do. For decades, the British icons have carved out their place as one of the UK’s most important and uncompromising acts - passionate musicians with a taste for excess and a stance that has always been proudly anti-everything. Rolling Stone affectionately calls them “dinosaurs of decadence” - and they couldn’t be righter.

It all began in 1989 when school friends Brett Anderson and Mat Osman teamed up with guitarist Bernard Butler after an ad in NME, initially backed by a drum machine until THE SMITHS’ Mike Joyce and later Simon Gilbert joined. Even before releasing their debut, SUEDE crashed into the British music scene with explosive energy. Their self-titled debut album followed in 1993, drawing comparisons to THE SMITHS and DAVID BOWIE - comparisons that have long since become part of their legend.

Today, SUEDE consists of Brett Anderson (vocals), Mat Osman (bass), Simon Gilbert (drums), Richard Oakes (guitar), and Neil Codling (synths). What remains constant is their gritty energy, working-class spirit, and fierce embrace of Glam-Rock attitude. Anderson commands the stage like few others - sweat-soaked shirts, howling vocals, ecstatic motion - it’s a celebration of pure release shared equally between band and audience.

Now, with their tenth studio album ‘Antidepressants’ (released in early September), SUEDE return to the stage after nearly three years away. Following the huge success of their 2022 “Autofiction Tour” - with sold-out shows in Cologne and Hamburg - the band is back with new material they describe as “broken music for broken people.” If ‘Autofiction’ was Punk, ‘Antidepressants’ is defiantly Post-Punk - darker, deeper, and more cathartic.

This exclusive Berlin show offers fans a rare chance to experience one of Britain’s most vital live bands up close. When SUEDE invite you to dance with them, there’s only one possible answer: a resounding yes.
