Körperschall Records released a collection of its signed bands something that might not be good news, at least for some of them with DR. KRANCK being the usual suspect for that. You have to imagine DR. KRANCK as the evil twin brother of Ratatouille saying “I’ll perfect my own race, a race of atomic supermen that will conquer the world” without the grace of Bela Lugosi. The problem is that if you put so much effort to present your brain having more holes than a Swiss cheese at the end you’ll convince everyone. But you may ask, how’s that happened and he opens the CD? As far it concerns DIODATI, the !DISTAIN’s remix of ‘Nänie’ lingers towards Darkwave and ‘Lady Medusa Of Suffer’ is interesting in the combination of Medieval rhythms with Electro whilst ‘Just A Mirror’ remix is a plain, flat electro.
NEO are more 80’s “insert coin” platforms in discos, but in any case, ‘Low Freak Bitch’ is more suitable for home parties as it fails to keep the fast, upbeat tempo for a long period. This is also true for ‘E-Fight’ that fails to build properly; instead it is wasted among early 80’s drones of cheesy electronic games, something that is true for ‘Bass At The Base’. The true party time begins with INDUSTRIEGEBIET; the remix of ‘Wer Schön Sein Will Muss Sterben’ by EX.ES has something epic from KLF in the more Industrial aspect of it. To put it bluntly the INDUSTRIEGEBIET are a band that deserves your attention. The same is true for the GEDANKERASEN; especially the Industrial Metal remix of ELLIPSE for ‘Zukunft Wird Vergangenheit’ is one of the best moments in this CD. Last but not least ELLIPSE are sub-woofer friendly band but the remixes from Massimo and Zerfetzt are hypotonic and somewhat predictable in their Industrial aspect. All in all this is a highly imbalanced release that should be avoided. There are other ways to check out some of the bands here.
