1. New band confirmation L’AME IMMORTELLE
Anything but nameless, the second last addition to the Amphi line-up is presented. As Austria’s most successful export of the scene, Sonja Kraushofer and Thomas Rainer aka L’AME IMMORTELLE can meanwhile look back on 11 moving years, in which the Viennese always followed their own path and came up with many surprises.
Inflamed by the just finished 7 days tour with L’AME IMMORTELLE in top form, the fans are begging for more to experience the feeling of these seven magical evenings anew. Because of this, it was a necessity to the Amphi Festival to shorten the waiting time for all fans of the likeable Austrians and to get L’AME IMMORTELLE for their sole open air performance in 2008 at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne.
You can expect another spectacular highlight in the program, when the powerful voiced Sonja Kraushofer as ire red angel and whirlwind Thomas Rainer will rock the IV. Amphi Festival
2. Cooperation between the Cologne Fair Trade service & German Railways
For all you railway fans that like to travel to the festival by train, the Amphi Festival offers nationwide tickets to “Köln Messe/Deutz” at a reduced price for the fist time in cooperation with German Railways.
Attendees of the festival who have to travel less than 350 kilometres only pay 69,- Euro this year for a 2nd class ticket incl. return requiring a mandatory reservation of a fixes train. Tickets for journeys over 350 kilometres to Cologne and back (Also with a fixed train connection) will cost 109, - EUR in the 2nd class You’ll find further information’s on this at under this link.
3. Cooperation with Last.FM
Together with Last.FM, the biggest social music network we can now provide you with another special service. You can listen to the music of every artist on the Amphi Festival for free. You’ll find the links on our corresponding artist sites. Registered Last.FM users can also use the Amphi Festival Radio station. This online radio only presents the music of the current festival program and so you can celebrate your own private “Amphi Festival Warm Up Party”. You can also include this radio station as a widget in Myspace, Facebook in Blogs and live journals by the way.
