Time is counting down and we are still organizing everything with high power and there is not much time left until the SUMMER BREEZE issue 2008 will finally take place. As mentioned in the previous newsletter and most of you probably have realized anyway we are sold out for a good ten days. Just a very strictly limited amount of day tickets will be available on each day for the price of 30,- EURO from 10.00 a.m. on.
Please note: In case you have ordered tickets via our online shop please wire the money immediately unless you haven't done that already. Money needs to be credited on our account until Friday, July 25th as otherwise we will have to cancel the order. Tickets will be sent out immediately after the money has been credited and should be with you within 3-4 days. So if you are still waiting for your tickets please get in touch with
The very last chance to get hold of a 3days ticket for a regular price would be to book via BOCK-TOURS (http://www.bock-tours.de/). Their busses have a few seats left and of course some tickets, too. Detailed info can be found at http://www.bock-tours.de/.
Talking about getting there. On http://www.summer-breeze.de/ you can find various information how to get to the SUMMER BREEZE by public transport. Departing at Ellwangen the transport company will be offering additional bus services to Dinkelsbuehl again. Also travelling via Ansbach will be easier this year. Local transport service will be offering additional bus services, too.
The Bavarian police will attend the BREEZE again and will help you and answer your questions whenever possible. Of course they will also do alcohol checks. You will be better off staying sober instead of drinking and driving and being without your driving license in the end. Not talking about endangering other people in traffic.
Please also note the camping site will not be open before Wednesday morning 10.00 a.m. Who ever will arrive before will have no access to the camping site. Due to heavy works upon the site it would be too dangerous to let someone on before. Neither you will have the chance to park your car before that time. Access to the camping ground is possible only with cars not heavier than 3,5 tons.
Trailers need to be parked together with the related car. Once entered the camping site you shall not leave it again until Thursday evening. This way we try not to strain the traffic on its way to the site. If you want to go to Dinkelsbuehl you can of course use the free of charge shuttle busses which will be stopping between McDonald's and REWE supermarket. Some busses also hit the centre of Dinkelsbuehl.
A new map of the entire site is online and can be downloaded at the end of the festival ABC on our homepage. Many of the questions you may have can be answered by just having a look inside. We have created a summary of the possible answers regarding travelling, the site map, the running order and the ABC. Print it out and you will always have it ready when needed. Once again we would like to draw your attention to the fact that there is a strict glass prohibition on the entire camping and festival site. In case you don't know whether to bring an item or not you are better off not to bring it. Or change the content into a plastic box. Weapons and things such as racks, carpenter's hammers, axes, spades or electric saws are not to be brought onto the site and will be confiscated by us or the police! Nor it is allowed to leave bulky garbage on the site. So couches, camping seats or similar stuff are to be taken back home again. We will keep an eye on this and report anybody not following this to the police as it is against the law. Access to the woods beside the site is not permitted as it is private property. Any damage or pollution done there makes it more difficult for us to get the necessary spaces for 2009. Generally we will take uncompromising action against anybody damaging or stealing our property. Acting against this rule will be reported to the police followed by being banished from the site.
Also we will keep a special eye on fire places and the trash situation by your tent. We don't think it is too much of an effort to fill the trash inside the available trash bags. Those you can get hold of while entering the camping site. In case you need more bags it is no problem to get them. Despite that you will get an A0 sized poster as a reward. We will be taking an aerial picture of the entire site including stages and the camping ground. Also make sure you will not forget tent nails or other metal items as these will cause big problems with the farmers. It is essentiell for us that you keep your space tidy and clean and leave it this way. This effects whether we will be getting the spaces again for SUMMER BREEZE 2009.
One more advise. On August 15th the new END OF GREEN album "The Sick's Sense" will be released. To guide the release the SICKFEST will take place on Abtsgmuend's Festplatz on August 23rd. At this official release party on the old SUMMER BREEZE site. JACK FROST, UNDERTOW and BLACKPUZZLE will bring you in the right mood for END OF GREEN giving you the rest. Anybody purchasing the album in the first week of release will get a ticket for the show for free. The album will already be available at the SUMMER BREEZE at mid night night between the 14th and the 15th of August exclusively at the METAL.DE booth. You can take the opportunity and get your copy signed by the band right there.
