At the end of 2003 the Band LOST AREA was founded. In the springtime of 2005 the EP ‘Gabriel’ was released which showed a remarkable musical range. LOST AREA achieved their goal: Driving beats and powerful synth layers alternated with more balladry tracks, crawling under the skin. The song ‘Painbringer’ developed to a real club hit. After numerous sampler contributions and several remixes for other bands the first regular long-player, entitled ‘Dare To Dream’ was released in November 2006. Packed with remixes of bands such as Blutengel, Cephalgy, Accessory and many others the album caused a stir. With the debut, LOST AREA continued their promising concept of “Electro Meets Emotion” and brought it to perfection. Already to that time their music had everything fans of challenging and modern Electro expected. LOST AREA also had been observed by the media. Amongst others RADIO ENERGY introduced the Band in their Morning Show as Newcomer 2007 and offered songs for downloading. Only a few hours later the songs had been downloaded more than 700 times. With regular chart placements in various internet radio stations like “Hazzard of Darkness”, the band proved they were not a One Hit Wonder.

In the summer of 2007 the founding members Jan Moser and singer Daniela Dietz decided to leave the band due to job-related reasons. Although LOST AREA had to get along without lead vocalists, it was no reason to call it quits. After a short while, the band around mastermind Jan Bertram managed to allure Asli Gerhardt as new singer, Markus Bär as front man and Andi Gründler for the keys and as second vocalist. At that time all band members were aware of the fact that this would also be a musical restart in some way. So the joy was all the more intense when the new voices were more than well received by press and fans alike. After a short time, they presented their first opus with the new line-up. ‘Changes’ displayed the development of the band and convinced in every way. The press noticed that as well, publishing regular reports about LOST AREA from there on. The band has already completed the work on the upcoming album ‘Man Machine’, released on 26th September on the Swiss label it’ll come up with many surprises. The album was produced by Dirk Steyer, also known by his project ACCESSORY

LOST AREA show, they’re willing to break new musical ground with i.e. their song ‘Amnesia’ as Robert Klausch guitar player in the well-known Berlin based Gothic rock band Scream Silence, a real pro, was allured who recorded all the guitar passages for the track. That LOST AREA is also professionally supported in the fields of photography and video is impressively proved by the artistically matured works of the renowned photographer Annie Bertram. She is responsible for the complete band pictures as well as for the cover artwork and the web design of the band homepage. LOST AREA is a live act in the first place. They know how to cast a spell on the audience quickly with their impressing performance and the 4 distinct characters of the band. They already played as support for THE CRÜXSHADOWS and already performed at the well-known Dark Dance Treffen in Lahr.
