Education is everything. That also goes for STURM UND DRANG, because after the Finish guys titled their debut ‘Learning To Rock, the brand-new album carries the title ‘Rock’n’Roll Children’ and is in stores since 16th January. There’s hardly any better way to illustrate the development of STURM UND DRANG, even if the album title shouldn’t be taken too seriously, also says singer André Linman: “It’s less a metaphor for the band itself, rather a symbol for the entire Rock’n’Roll Generation; people all over the world, listening to rock and metal; the ‘children, the ‘followers’ of the Rock’n’Roll.” The evolutions STURM UND DRANG have gone through can be heard and felt from the first to the last note, and received complementary reviews from the press ‘4 in the Metal Hammer sound check is only one little example.

Extensive tours meanwhile let the guys even to Japan; tours with the label mates APOCALYPTICA, as well as festival shows (i.e. the Wacken double strike 2007/08) had their fair share in enabling STURM UND DRANG to shift a couple of gears higher on the new album. You can convince yourself now with the limited digipaks. 11 songs, no Rock/Metal fan is getting around, because STURM UND DRANG are just too passionate and too good to avoid them. As a special ‘Thank You’ to their German fans, the limited edition comprises a bonus DVD with the video clips to ‘Break Away’ and ‘A Million Nights’, as well as the ‘A Complete Sturm und Drang Documentary’. Thanks to the Youtube and Myvideo, you can already get a small foretaste of what’s coming.
