After last year’s successful start with 1500 fans, celebrating a very special Christmas party; amongst others with: UNHEILIG and WELLE:ERDBALL, the Christmas Ball 2008 places a full packed gift plate under your Christmas tree.
CONENANT: Nordic, cool, and musically on the spot, the Swedish sound freaks COVENANR belong to the masters when it comes to burning dance floors and incredible moods. Electronically experimental, Eskil Simonsson and Joakim Montelius always prove a secure hand for catchy beats and distinctive sounds making you wanna move your legs. While the third member Clas Nachmanson, takes a break at the moment, he’s getting represented by no one less than Daniel Myer (Destroid, Haujobb) supporting the Swedes on the keys and the drums with a concentrated doze of ‘Ritual Noise’. Together COVENANT will make the Capitol tremble and will boos t you in their usual way.
Also FUNKER VOGT doesn’t need a further introduction. Our Hameln-based EBM special unit around Jens Kästel and Gerrit Thomas can’t be missed as the battle-tested all-purpose weapon against unnecessary pounds.
A real highlight for old school friends awaits you with ABSOLUTE BODY CONTROL Dirk Ivens’(The Klinik, Dive, Sonar) legendary project is on stage again with the raw, unpolished sound of the 80s, when synths still were big machines and the analogue spirit prevailed.
An old Klingon saying is that revenge is a dish, best served cold. Fitting to the cold temperatures S.P.O.C.K still have a score to settle with you. With a furious Best-of show as start of the Christmas Ball 2008, the legendary Swedes return to take you on a journey to far away galaxies, where no man has gone before. Even though it was a bit silent around S.P.O.C.K in the past years, their hits were never forgotten. Leading the way with ‘Never trust a Klingon’, which can’t be missed in any well-sorted DJ SET?
