Ringlokschuppen, Bielefeld, Germany
16th May 2010
Schiller

SCHILLER, that means new electronic music for the hopes, longings and atmospheres of our times to densify within its boundaries which frequently don’t even seem to exist in the sonic universe of German musician Christopher van Deylen, who gave life to the project over a decade ago with his companion Mirko von Schlieffen as a club-oriented music project. But already with the second album ‘Zeitgeist’, the music veered more towards softer territory, emphasizing dense melodies and ambient textures. Even before the album ‘Leben’ came out in 2003, Mirko left the project, shrinking SCHILLER to a one man project with that. However, van Deylen’s creativity was big enough for two, even 3 persons. Ever since doing it alone he released two further successful albums with ‘Sehnsucht’ from 2008, being the latest one in the line.

The new, yet untitled opus is slated for a release this year and surely will lift the project’s sound to new dimensions. Coinciding with the new release, SCHILLER will tour Germany again and those who will be attending one of the extraordinary shows will be immersed with all their senses into the music. On 16th May, the founder of Global Pop will be guest at Ringlokschuppen in Bielefeld and you should be there as well.
