Album Review

The Finnish BATTLE BEAST in their first CD as it seems they have only one aim; that is to play Heavy Metal as classically possible of the kind of ACCEPT among other notable bands of that era. From that point of view they are rather successful; ‘Enter The Metal World’ deserves to be listened with beer for the old times’ sake. And if you are in a good mood you’ll find a couple of other songs here that will have the same effect like ‘Armageddon Clan’ or ‘Steel’. In terms of music the band knows very well how to write and perform good solos and catchy riffs, or even to flirt with the charts, something that is dominant especially in the first part of the album. The strong point of the band is surely the vocals of Nitte Valo and for some who prefer the modern trends the weakest point will be their devotion to the past. Therefore it is expected that overall the results are unequal. The good news is that the BATTLE STEEL is an extremely promising band.
