SOCIAL AMBITIONS, formed in the year 2005 in Stockholm/ Sweden, proudly presents their new album ‘Anticipation’. This new album is the follow up to the bands debut album ‘Almost gone’ from the year 2010. This album consists of five brand new tracks and is heavily influenced by early 80´s Synth Pop and soft analogue synthesizer. With ‘Anticipation’, SOCIAL AMBITION displays the electronic origins of today's pop and dance music. Influences from early British synth pop are obvious but you can also single out details of Detroit, Manchester and the new Australian music wave. ‘Rockers in my head’ is a very ambitious almost playful track which could convince with well designed combinations from synth-waves and pop music. From the first note ‘Angel’ teleports us back into the 80s. A real delight for fans of the genre and in my opinion this song is a guaranteed to be released as a single version.
‘Rain’ shows a much slower and more thoughtful composition. Everybody who likes bands like MARSHEAUX or QUELLE PAROLES will feel at home here. Finally ‘Open field’ worthily complete this short album. Soft sounds and gentle vocals, well-programmed effects and the familiar synthesizer generate a warm shudder at the end. Every track from this album shows potential to be released as a single. They construct a real extraordinary experience together and take us to a very inspirational musical voyage. New shades could be discovered every time you listen to this album. The always presented analogue synthesizer mixed with touchy beats, nice soft and warm vocals and near enchanting melodies creates an enthralling atmosphere. It is absolutely worth listening to and a recommendation not only for fans.
