Their success story can only be described as “impressive”. More than 37 years after their first free gig in Adelaide, Australia, in front of a small group of friends and family, THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW has undoubtedly become the most successful PINK FLOYD tribute band on the planet, with over five million tickets sold worldwide. More than that, they were the first PINK FLOYD tribute show to bring the concept to the world’s biggest arenas. Thousands of headline-shows in over 35 countries, performing for up to 10,000 fans, as well as numerous festival appearances, have solidified the band’s status as an international phenomenon, with members from Australia, the UK, France, and the USA. They even performed at David Gilmour’s 50th birthday party and shared the stage with both him and Rick Wright.
Much has happened since their humble beginnings in 1988, and many things have changed, but one thing remains the same: the band's relentless dedication to recreating the sound of their British idols as authentically and faithfully as possible. Their mission is to preserve the musical legacy of PINK FLOYD and captivate both die-hard FLOYD fans and a new, younger audience. While previous tours by THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW often focused on specific albums, anniversaries, or events, the theme for their twelve concerts in Germany next year is as simple as it is brilliant: “Happiest Days of Our Lives - Greatest Hits.” This means a spectacular setlist featuring fan favourites, timeless classics, and some rare gems from all phases of PINK FLOYD’s career, celebrating the immense musical contributions of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason.
With a brand-new stage design, an outstanding light and laser show, elaborate video animations, state-of-the-art LED screen technology, and other special effects, THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW guarantees a unique concert experience in 2026. Note for note, chord for chord, they replicate PINK FLOYD’s music with unparalleled precision and respect, making audiences feel as if they are witnessing PINK FLOYD live once again. The band has collaborated with former PINK FLOYD touring musicians such as Guy Pratt and Durga McBroom. Lorelei McBroom, who was part of PINK FLOYD’s “Momentary Lapse Of Reason” and “Delicate Sound Of Thunder” tours, has been a key member of THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW for the past 15 years.
Over time, THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW has become a musical institution in its own right, setting the standard for tribute acts worldwide and inspiring a wave of new performers in the genre. The Daily Mirror calls them “the kings of the genre,” while The Times describes them as “the gold standard” - and rightly so. For nearly 40 years, this has been the biggest, most renowned, and most spectacular PINK FLOYD tribute show, drawing audiences around the globe. In Germany, they have been a massive success, with this year’s tour marking their 16th time performing in the country’s largest arenas.
The Hamburger Abendblatt described their concerts as “a time travel experience for older fans” and “a musical history lesson” for younger audiences, with a sound that is “incredibly close to the original.” The Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung highlighted the “excellently performed PINK FLOYD hits and classics,” which “gave many fans goosebumps.” The B.Z. summed up their Berlin concert with the words: “Oh yes, we were back in the old FLOYD world.” Meanwhile, the online music magazine Reflections Of Darkness stated: “The choice of songs was inspiring, the sound was great, and the light show was once again fantastic. A great concert!”
Starting in February 2026, “the world’s most popular tribute band” (Sunday Times “Culture”) will return to Germany for twelve shows.
