Few bands have carved out such a singular path through modern music as ARCHIVE, the ever-evolving collective formed in Croydon, South London, back in 1994. Famed for their refusal to sit still stylistically - moving effortlessly between Trip-Hop, Progressive Rock, Electronica, Post-Punk and orchestral grandeur - the group have built a fiercely loyal following worldwide.

Now, more than three decades into their career, ARCHIVE are preparing to unveil their 13th studio album, ‘Glass Minds’, which will be released on 27 February 2026 via their own Dangervisit imprint in collaboration with [PIAS].

The record’s arrival is heralded by the powerful first single ‘Look At Us’, a track that finds the band in full throttle. Anchored by a relentless, grinding guitar riff, it sees ARCHIVE at their most muscular and uncompromising, brimming with urgency. Speaking about the single, co-founder Darius Keeler commented:

“‘Look At Us’ is simply a banger! With menacing lyrics that I see as a reflection of the profoundly distorted world we live in, I honestly think it’s one of the best singles we’ve ever released.”

The single is accompanied by a striking video directed by Maxim Kelly, who brought a Southern Gothic aesthetic to the project:

“The video is a Southern Gothic piece, designed to feel as authentic as possible through a stark black-and-white documentary aesthetic. Since the song explores themes of lies and deception, I wanted the medium itself to embody that concept - by encouraging the audience to trust the familiar visual language of documentary photography. The result is a kind of meta-commentary on deception, where the medium literally becomes the message.”

‘Glass Minds’ promises to be one of ARCHIVE’s most ambitious records to date. While their recent works - including ‘Call to Arms & Angels’ (2022) - showcased their widescreen sonic ambition and political bite, the new album looks set to push their fusion of atmosphere and intensity even further. Where ‘Look At Us’ pulses with raw aggression, other tracks on the record are rumoured to explore the collective’s more cinematic and introspective side, a balance that has long defined ARCHIVE’s sound.

For fans, ‘Glass Minds’ will mark not only the continuation of one of the most adventurous catalogues in modern British music, but also a celebration of a band who remain, after three decades, impossible to categorise - and unwilling to compromise. ARCHIVE’s story has always been one of reinvention and restless creativity, and their latest chapter looks set to be among their most exhilarating yet.
